December has arrived! Many of you have probably notices a lack of updates here on our blog. Things have been so busy the past couple of months we haven’t had much time to blog. This week however we’d like to share a review we recieved on WeddingWire. This week’s review comes from Tom + Misty Sekulski. They were the lucky couple who got married on 11-11-2011! Here’s what they had the say about their recent experience with Stevie Dee, one of our Tinley Park Wedding DJs.
Stevie is a fantastic DJ! From our first meeting with him until the wedding, he was professional, easy to contact, flexible, organized, thoughful and so much more. The DJ for us, was one of the most important parts of the wedding. We have been to weddings that the DJ was terrible and all we could think is “I hope that doesn’t happen to us”…let’s face it…the DJ plays a big part in how much fun your wedding is. This is why we are so glad we choose Stevie Dee! I really never realized how much a DJ does, he sets the whole tone of the wedding. As soon as we walked into our reception venue, Stevie had everything under control. He brought us drinks and checked on us to see if we needed anything. All of our guests keep telling us how great our DJ was and how much fun they had at our wedding. In fact one of my bridesmaids has decided to hire Stevie for her upcoming wedding! I can’t wait to go to her wedding because I know it will fun if Stevie is the DJ!!!

Reading online reviews about our Chicago Wedding DJ services has become one of our favorite Monday morning activities. This week we’re excited to share with you one of our most recent reviews from Wedding Wire. This review comes from Trent & Kimmi Horn. Here’s what they had to say about us after their July 22nd, 2011 reception at Bobak’s Signature Events.
When it comes to finding a DJ for your wedding, there is no question that Stevie Dee is the best in the industry. He not only plays great music for the reception, but he directs everything that will be happenning to make your wedding day go as smoothly and entertaining as possible. He gives you a login username on his website that allows you to request songs, type in the timeline of the wedding, and a planning sheet , so there is no room for error. He meets with you twice to make sure both him and the bride and groom are comfortable. He is such a great person and loves what he does. He is young and upbeat and knows how to entertain all ages. Unlike other DJs, he makes a seven minute video (Jam Cam) that briefly shows different parts of the wedding day! 
It was so nice to see our video the weekend of the wedding because pictures and wedding video take so much time. There is no one else better than Steve to entertain your guests. He has worked mine and my sister’s weddings and we were so blown away! I wouldn’t trust anyone else to be there on such a huge day! You will not be disappointed!

We used Stevie Dee from Operation Getdown for our June 5th wedding. We absolutely loved him and so did all of our guests!!! I am still getting complements on the music and how nice he was. He had awesome uplighting and created a custom gobo to match our invitations. I loved how organized he was and how he had answers to all of my questions. I interviewed A LOT of DJs for my wedding and no one compares to him. The music was great all night and he really kept people on the dance floor. I am a huge Britney Spears fan and he was able to create this Britney mash up to play at the reception and it was such a hit!! He goes above and beyond and I would recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed!!

Have we ever mentioned we absolutely love getting cards? As a Chicago Wedding DJ, nothing inspires us more than receiving a gold old fashioned handwritten thank you card! This week we received this letter from Rick & Ashley Piwowarski. This was in regards to their Lemont Wedding that took place on December 4th, 2011.

After 185 wedding receptions long time Chicago Wedding DJ, Stevie Dee, gets the opportunity to relax and enjoy his own wedding celebration. That’s right Stevie Dee is officially tying the knot today at 6:30pm in Dyer, Indiana. Congrats to him and Kaitlyn as they celebrate their love and union!
Please note: Since the couple will be out of town for their honeymoon, the Operation Getdown office will be closed the week of April 16th-25th. Thank you for your patience. We’ll see you all in a week!
P.S. We’ll also be sure to post a Jam Cam video once the couple returns. Lots of exciting things happening at this reception!

We’ve successfully finished the first month of January 2011 and boy was it a busy one! Usually January is the time of year when us Chicago Wedding DJs go into hibernation. There typically aren’t too many weddings, very few social events and very rarely a school dance. Thankfully though this January was not the norm! We started the year off strong with a great Oakbrook Wedding out at Maggianos in Oakbrook, Illinois. This wedding was for Aaron & Becky Powell. If you get a chance be sure to check out our Chicago Wedding DJ blog. We’ve got a bunch of information on this reception and even a fun Oakbrook Wedding Video showcasing the night.
Over the next couple of weeks our Chicago DJs were also out busy rocking several middle schools and high schools including Catherine Cook, James Hart and Illiana Christian High School. If that wasn’t enough, we even had the opportunity to work with several local park districts including the Palos Heights Recreation Department, the Elmhurst Recreation Department and even the South Side Parks and Recreation of Chicago. Lots of fun events and plenty of work to keep our records turning!
We then wrapped up the month with a Homer Glen Wedding. This wedding was for Jake & Jessica Tibstra and it was held at the beautiful Dinolfos Banquets in Homer Glen, Illinois. If you get a chance be sure to watch Jake & Jessica’s Homer Glen Wedding Video. It was a totally unique wedding and there are a few surprises worth watching!

“We used Operation Getdown DJs for our wedding a year and a half ago and we still recommend Stevie Dee to anyone we know getting married. From our first meeting with him, we knew we didn’t have to look anywhere else and his price was no more than any other DJs. He was professional and answered all questions that I had. He was flexible with any requests that I made or ideas that I had. He was so helpful and made our wedding so much easier. The best thing about Stevie Dee was how stress free he made my reception for me. He helped me figure out the order of events at the reception, the best music to play during dinner, and how to make my day unique. He also made my wedding fun.
