Receiving an online review from a previous client is such a blessing! It’s not only a great feedback tool for us, but it also gives us inspiration. This past weekend we received one of the BEST online reviews we’ve ever received. In fact, it was so good it almost brought us to tears. Here’s what Nic & Emily Ciccerale had to say after using Stevie Dee as their Wedding DJ on August 12th, 2011……

To all brides looking for an excellent DJ:

Look no further than Operation Getdown! I met with 6 different DJs, with various price ranges, and Stevie Dee was by far the best of the best. I must admit, I was a little skeptical at first because judging by his picture online, he seemed so young (sorry, Stevie), and his price was a bit more than I had originally intended on spending. As soon as I met with him, though, I knew that he was worth the extra money. From the very first meeting, Stevie was nothing but professional. He got me to talk about my family and my husband’s family- where they were from, what their personalities were like, what sort of music they liked. He asked questions about what my husband and I do for jobs, where we met, etc- and he took notes the whole time, writing down anything that might be helpful to him when running our reception. And this was before he was even hired! I was impressed with how attentive he was to hearing about what our needs were right away- most of the other DJs I met with were more interested in telling me about their equipment, their songs, their policies.

In preparation for the wedding, Stevie was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions and concerns. Everything was on his webpage- it was easy to navigate, and we were able to request all of the songs we wanted or didn’t want- not just the ones that he already had in his music library (which was quite extensive to begin with).

The day of the wedding, it was a huge relief to know that Stevie had the entire reception under control. He was our MC from start to finish- he checked in with us every 15-20 minutes during and right after dinner to make sure we had everything we needed and to give us updates on what was coming next. He went around and gathered requests from the wedding party and the parents’ tables before the dancing began. He was adept at reading the crowd- knowing what songs to play when, and how to make a multi-generational crowd happy with the music. Our dance floor was PACKED, the whole evening- from start to finish (and if you’ve ever been to Dinolfo’s, that dance floor is HUGE). I have never been to a wedding with that many people on a dance floor. After the wedding, the number one compliment that I received was that our DJ was awesome/so professional/excellent/knowledgeable. I have not received a negative feedback about Stevie yet, and I don’t think that I ever will.

To summarize- Operation Getdown might be a little more than what you are looking to spend on a DJ, but you will get everything you ever dreamed of for that price- including a worry-free reception. And it is true what people say- the number one thing your guests will remember is the party at the reception- the music, the dancing, etc. You want a DJ you can trust- and Stevie Dee (and Operation Getdown) is that DJ! Call him soon to set up a meeting, and you will see what I mean. Professional from start to finish, and your guests will rave about the reception afterward!
