Wow, it’s hard to believe April is officially here! It’s also pretty amazing that it’s over 80 degrees here in Chicago! As I look back on the past couple of months, I’m reminded of how awesome our job as a Chicago DJ really is. We’ve already met a great deal of new people and new opportunities have been on the rise. I thought I’d share with you a few things that have been taking place at Operation Getdown for the past couple of months.

Chicago DJ
2010 started off incredibly busy for us this year! Although there aren’t too many shows this time of year, we found our consultations to be up nearly 75%. We attribute a lot of this because of the influx of engagements that take place during December and the increased online marketing efforts that we’ve been apart of. After sitting down with over 17 new clients, we were proud to add 15 of them as new clients. Most of these new events will be for wedding receptions that’ll take place during the summer and fall months. We’re excited to work with these new clients as their official Chicago Wedding DJ and we look forward to providing them with unsurpassed Chicago Wedding Entertainment!
Along with all of wedding consultations and bookings, we also had a decent amount of Chicago Weddings and Chicago School Dances. One Unique Chicago Wedding that we were apart of was for Catherine and James Gonzalez. This Unique Chicago Wedding took place on January 30th and was held at Dinolfos Banquets in Mokena, Illinois. We also had a reception right before theirs in the same exact room for Jason and Dayana Voss. Be sure to read their reception highlights in our Chicago Wedding DJ Blog! Both receptions were an absolute blast and we have videos to prove it!
That same evening of January 30th, 2010 our Chicago School DJs were out in full force rocking down the house at Andrean High school for their annual turnabout dance. This school dance had about 200 kids in attendance and took place at the Villa Cesare in Schererville, Indiana. Our DJs, LIL Corbin and Nate Dee, brought out one of our smaller packages and provided the students with an exciting and energized night of fun and dancing.
There were also a great deal of other events that happened in January as well. Some of those events included a few recreational department dances for the Palos Heights Park District and the Elmhurst Park District. We also had the opportunity to donate our services to a young family who had a child who was struggling with a rare disease. This was a fashion show benefit night and it was held at the Tinley Park Convention Center in Tinley Park, Illinois. Operation Getdown‘s very own DJ LIL Corbin provided the beats for this event and by the sounds of it, it was a powerful and inspiring night!
That’s our January wrap up. Stay tuned for our February Chicago DJ wrap up coming soon!
